Not many locations that existed in the late 19th or early 20th century in Hermanus have a photographic history of each phase of their lives. One of these is the lesser known Riviera Hotel up above what we now call Grotto Beach. Over the years DR ROBIN LEE of the Hermanus History Society has collected images of the various stages of its history.
