People’s stories can provide unique insights into both big and small history, often revealing different perspectives on the same events. Big history encompassing narratives such as Apartheid and COVID affected people differently here in the Overstrand.

The History Interest Group, a branch of the local U3A is hosting a viewing of four movies produced locally by the company “Reflections of Life”, where people share their stories through both big and small history. In a world full of conflict these stories speak to resilience, advocacy, leadership and caring by ordinary people. These beautiful cameos affirm that there are good people out there.

The viewing is scheduled for Monday 6^th October at 10 am in the Catholic Church Hall.
