  • 9 December 2015: Nicolette Botha-Guthrie, Overstrand Executive Mayor, will officiate at the launch of the second full-length book published by the Hermanus History Society. The title of the book is ‘Luyt’s Marine’: A Diary of the Years 1942 to 1947. The book was written by Berdine Luyt, whose family owned the Marine Hotel for over 40 years, and is edited by Robin Lee, who will speak about the origin and contents of the book.
